
Ingredients
- 2 Cups all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 large eggs (separated)
- 1 2/3 cup milk
- 1/3 cup melted butter (salted)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
The Fun Part
- Set iron to 400F (1 1/2 on dial)
- Combine dry ingredients (Flour, baking powder, sugar, and cinnamon)
- Mix wet ingredients (egg yolks, milk, butter, and vanilla)
- Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form
- Add wet and dry mixes, then combine. Then Gently fold in the egg whites to add the final moisture
- Poor in desired amount for the iron being used
Notes
To make Buttermilk Waffles:
- Reduce baking powder to 1 1/2 tsp, add 1/2 tsp baking soda, replace milk with buttermilk
